Minister Simon Harris congratulates An Cosán on hosting Ireland’s first Digital Inclusion Week

by | Apr 29, 2022 | 0 comments

We are grateful to Simon Harris TD, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, for the message of congratulations and support he recorded for our Get Yourself Online Week, which kicked off on 25 April 2022.

His video message was included in the ‘Digital Equity Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow’ webinar we held for community organisations across the country to launch our Get Yourself Online campaign, which aims to highlight and address the digital divide.

Our CEO Heydi Foster welcomes Minister Harris’s support and his commitment to working collaboratively with the community and corporate sectors to achieve digital equity.

She says to achieve a sustainable future we need 80% of adults with digital skills by 2030*, “so working collectively we must reach those furthest behind first to build their digital skills and confidence.”
