An Cosán International Women’s Day Lunch 2026

by | Mar 11, 2026 | 0 comments

For International Women’s Day 2026 we gathered in Dublin to celebrate a very special milestone for An Cosán – 40 years of transformation through education!

For four decades, An Cosán has worked to break the cycle of poverty by ensuring that women – particularly mothers – have access to education, opportunity and community.

What began as a local initiative in Tallaght has grown into a national movement that continues to empower women and families across Ireland.

This year’s celebration highlights our “Change Starts with Mams” campaign, grounded in a simple but powerful truth: when a mother has access to education, the impact reaches far beyond the classroom – influencing her children, her family and her wider community.

The theme of International Women’s Day 2026 – Rights, Justice and Action – speaks directly to the work we do every day.

Education is a human right, and at An Cosán we are committed to ensuring it is accessible in practice, not just in principle.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all who have supported this journey over the past 40 years.

When a woman is empowered, she doesn’t rise alone – she brings her whole community with her!

Keep an eye out for our upcoming events during our 40th anniversary including our Golf Classic in September and the Winter Ball in November. We look forward to seeing you there!
