An Cosán is delighted to announce that Yasmin Kutub has been appointed Higher Education Lead. A qualified and highly experienced Community Educator and Community Development worker, Yasmin has over thirty years’ practitioner experience delivering training and education around social justice and rights-based work within the community and voluntary sector in the UK and Ireland.
Yasmin holds in-depth knowledge on community development, gender-based violence, rights-based advocacy, EDI, community leadership and anti-oppressive practice. Yasmin also has strong academic and community-based research skills and has utilized participative and inclusive feminist methodologies to ensure that the lived experiences of marginalised people are captured and represented to inform policy and practice.
Employed as a Community Educator in An Cosán since 2019, Yasmin is currently a student on the Doctor of Social Science (UCC) and was awarded three years’ funding by the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme administered by the Irish Research Council.
